    How the 2026 cutoff works

NTA publishes category-wise qualifying percentiles for eligibility to appear in JEE Advanced.

JoSAA publishes institute, programme and category-wise opening and closing ranks for admissions.

A qualifying percentile and a counselling closing rank answer different questions and must not be compared as one cutoff.

MockPrep does not publish an unsupported single ‘safe score’. Use the official result or counselling notice linked above for released 2026 figures.

    Source and interpretation note

Session dates, candidate counts and qualifying percentiles change each cycle. Use the current NTA result notice for figures.

Official authority: National Testing Agency (NTA). Last verified: 23 September 2026.
